More of God’s beautiful creation:
Green River, Wyoming
As we travel east along Interstate 80, the open spaces of Wyoming are interrupted by a series of multicolored buttes of various shapes, sizes and shades carved over time by the Green River
Famous citizens of Green River:
Heather Moody, Olympic water polo silver and bronze medalist and
Curt Gowdy, a famous sports announcer, was born in Green River.
They sure grow miners big here in Wyoming!
Time to play some frisbee before continue your trek eastward
We drove by the Great Salt Lake, located near Salt Lake City, Utah. It is the largest salt water lake in the Western Hemisphere. Well I thought salt water belonged in the ocean. That must have been one big wave a long time ago to make it all the way from the Pacific. Here is something else I learned: In terms of surface area, it is the largest lake in the United States that is not part of the Great Lakes region. It is 75 miles long and 35 miles wide. The lake is too salty for fish to live in, but Brine shrimp can live there. Since the salt level is so high, it is really easy to float in this lake. I guess if I went swimming in there, I would really need a bath afterwards!

Here is what I have picked up from my caregivers while driving through this town. The town was named for the 19th-century Chief Winnemucca of the local Northern Paiute tribe, who traditionally lived in this area. He and his band had a camp near here. Winnemucca, loosely translated, means “one moccasin.” I want to know what happened to the other moccasin. It appears a distant cousin of mine may have decided it was the perfect chew toy. The chief’s daughter, Sarah Winnemucca, was an advocate for education and fair treatment of the Paiute and Shoshone tribes. I wish I could have met her. She deserves a big hug!
The Sahwave Mountains Nevada
The Sahwaves are located in southwest Pershing County with the southernmost foothills extending into Churchill County. The range is approximately 22 miles (35 km) in length with a width of about 5 mi (8.0 km). The highest peak is Juniper Mountain with a peak elevation of 7,474 feet (2,278 m). I am seeing so many new sites along our travels through Nevada. No worries I have had many outside breaks and playtime. It’s pretty cool having my very own personal driver. 🐾
Good morning from Fernley, Nevada. We had a great night’s sleep and a great breakfast and we are on the road again heading to Wyoming. It is our mission to share God’s love today while we travel!🐾

My handlers stopped at Chick-fil-A for dinner tonight. I like seeing all the cows. They seem to be a clever herd always wanting us to eat more chick-N. Time to continue down the road. I will check back with you on Saturday.
We’ve said our prayers, and are all packed up and ready for a road trip to the LCC Comfort Dog Conference in Northbrook Illinois. Now let’s see what this Friday night commute thing is all about.🐾
