We traveled through Minnesota on our way back to the Napa Valley. I first have to say a shout out to LCC Comfort Dog Gideon in Bloomington Minnesota! I have to say it is pawesome to be able to travel across the country and see so many beautiful places and all the nice people along the way.
So here some Minnesota fun facts that I learned while traveling through this beautiful state:
- The Mall of America is the size of 78 football fields. It is so big that it has its own ZIP Code. I wonder how many bones I could find in that place?
- Thanks to the numerous lakes, over 11,000 in fact, rivers and streams, Minnesota has about 90,000 miles of shoreline, which is more than the shoreline of California, Florida and Hawaii combined. Now were talking some real golden tale wagging fun here.
- They say the state bird is in the mosquito. I sure hope I don’t run into any of them.
I am sitting right by the mighty Mississippi River. Look closely and you can see the paddle boat sailing by. That looks like a cool way to travel. Next time I think I am going to convince my caregivers to get us on a boat and sail to New Orleans.
Next stop, South Dakota!
